A Message from Our Pastor
This is an exciting time to be at
“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” I Peter 2:9
As people chosen by God at this time, in this place, we are moving forward, claiming our heritage as joint heirs with our brother, Jesus. Our ancestors in the faith began this ministry out of concern for the Sunday School education of the children of the Skippack community. The formal organization of our worshipping community crystallized around the issue of higher education of children. Fifty years ago, the gathered community rallied around the idea of building an educational building for the Christian education of all with the addition of a gathering hall and a stage. This was the first such hall in Skippack and was dedicated for the furtherance of Christian social growth for the congregation and for the larger community.

Today, it is our goal to build on this heritage as we “proclaim the mighty works of him who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Our passion is to reach out to those who do not regularly fellowship with Christ and, who do not have a personal relationship with Christ. There are people in the neighborhoods all around us who need the message of divine mercy and acceptance. We dare to be responsive to those needs.

He was a regular guy. He had a wife and four children. He had his own business. He had his own history. When his children started attending Sunday School, he did not attend. When his children were baptized, he did not attend. When his children were confirmed, he did not attend. When his children were married in the church, he did not attend.
B-U-T, one day he called on the church for the message that only we can offer.
He lay near death, dying of lung cancer. No one came any longer to visit. The doctors had said his time was running out. He called for the pastor of the church attended by his daughter. This pastor heard my father’s dying confession. This pastor offered the divine gift of forgiveness in the name of the Risen Savior. Today, my father lives in glory.
There could have been so much more joy in the life of this man, if he had called on the Lord prior to his deathbed. He longed for what God could give but could not bring himself to seek the community of believers in which he could hear the words of God’s absolute acceptance. It is our goal at Trinity Christian to reach out to persons like this man before they reach their deathbed. May the Lord put us in the right place, at the right time, with the right words to share the glory of new life available today in faith with the Lord.
