Come Join Us in Worship Sunday at 10:15 A.M.

 Welcome to our sanctuary.

Trinity Christian United Church of Christ, the only church in Skippack village, welcomes you.  Whatever your background or situation, wherever you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome in our fellowship.  (Click here for a map if you don't know where we are located.   From the corner of Routes 113 and 73, go east on route 73 for one block and turn left onto Church Road, which is the first road that you reach.  Google Maps and Yahoo Maps will probably give you accurate directions to 2009 Church Road; Mapquest will not!)

We sing God's praises with joy.

We teach and preach the Bible in a way that is relevant to our modern world.

We seek to serve Christ by addressing the needs of people in our community and around the world.

We are small enough to know your name and big enough to make a difference.

We provide nursery care for small children during worship.

We are affiliated with the United Church of Christ, a denomination that unites churches of the Reformed, Lutheran, and Christian traditions.  Believing that Christ is our unity, we do not allow our various traditions to divide us.

What's new at Trinity?

Pastor Michael has a new email address--check it out below!

Keep in mind that the Sunday worship hour changes to 9:30 on June 3rd.  Also, this will be the date of our church picnic, which will immediately follow the service.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverage will be provided--we ask everybody to bring along a covered dish and place settings.

What's not new but still very much part of our lives at Trinity Christian U.C.C.?

--joyful worship every Sunday at 10:15 A.M. (September - May), with earlier hours during the summer.

-- Bible study following lunch every Tuesday at Noon. ( throughout the year)

Our mission at Trinity Christian U.C.C. is to

  • serve God by spreading His good word.
  • minister to all in our church family and in our community.
  • educate our children about God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit.
  • continually nurture our faith.
  • be a prayerful congregation.
  • be a Christ-centered church with the Bible as our foundation.

Trinity

Trinity Christian Church was organized in 1863 by Abram Hunsicker, a Mennonite bishop who wanted to form a non-sectarian church in Skippack village. In 1892 the congregation joined the Reformed Church, which through a series of mergers has become the United Church of Christ.

We are both a community church and a denominational church. As a community church we seek to be a fellowship for Christians of all backgrounds, united by a common desire to serve Jesus Christ. As a denominational church we are connected to, and accountable to, a family of Christians beyond our community.

The Preamble of the UCC Constitution Includes This Faith Statement:

The United Church of Christ acknowledges as its sole head, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior. It acknowledges as kindred in Christ all who share in this confession. It looks to the Word of God in the Scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. It claims as its own the faith of the historic Church expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant Reformers. It affirms the responsibility of the Church in each generation to make this faith its own in reality of worship, in honesty of thought and expression, and in purity of heart before God. In accordance with the teaching of our Lord and the practice prevailing among evangelical Christians, it recognizes two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion.
